Chief
Instructor
Sensei Paul Claremont
(4th Dan)
Sensei Paul Claremont started training in February 1993 at the International Shotokan Karate club (ISK) founded by the late Pauline Bindra.
He had only planned on training for six months to support his son, Scott and thought “this is my chance to get fit, lose weight and learn something different”. Needless to say he was absolutely hooked and never looked back.
Paul Claremont began his training under the instruction of Sensei John Glasgow (5th Dan).
Over the past 25 years plus he has entered, competed, refereed and judged at numerous tournaments and gradings.
With the experience gained during his journey Paul wanted to continue to pass this knowledge on to others so founded the Bushido Shotokan Karate Academy (BSKA) along with Sensei Samantha Mansfield and Sensei Amelia Senft.
Sensei Paul Claremont oversees all Gradings across all clubs as the Chief Instructor of the BSKA Board of Examiners.
